It is amazing how much I am learning about true dependence on God during this season.
Psalms 29:10 says "The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits enthroned as king forever." This passage reminds me of the authority and reign of God. The Lord has things happen just as He will, and even flood waters only go as far as He pleases and plans. In everything, I can have confidence that God's perspective is beyond my limited human understanding. Because of this and because I know Jesus wins, no matter what I am feeling I can preach joy and peace to my heart. He has the last word on suffering and injustice. The Lord of the universe over EVERYTHING invites me to approach His throne with confidence to petition, worship, question, and lament. This invitation shows the unending faithfulness of my Father -- the creator of the universe.
